Emilie Åsgård Choreography

Emilie Åsgård Choreography is run by Emilie Victoria Åsgård-Rasmussen, a professional dancer and choreographer from Norway, currently based in London in The United Kingdom. Emilie Victoria Åsgård-Rasmussen graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Dance from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in July 2025. She has loads of experience in dance, both as a performer and as a choreographer. Emilie has been dancing herself since the age of two years old and taken classes in a huge variety of styles, both back in Norway, and during her training in Liverpool. At the age of 16 years old, she started to explore with choreography, and has since then worked as a choreographer for a huge variety of events. She has amongst others choreographed for both charity events, school performances, choreography competitions, Eurovision FunFest celebration for Eurovision delegates, short films, music videos, fashion shows, and other live events. Emilie Åsgård Choreography offers choreographies in a huge variety of styles with her main styles being contemporary, modern, contemporary fusion, MT jazz, jazz, commercial/girly style and lyrical. 

When choreographing, Emilie likes to explore how we can tell a whole story just by using our bodies, and how movements can reflect our emotions and sometimes tell more than a thousand words. Emilie likes to explore human connections, environment, and emotional transformation through physical movements, whether it is for a modern/contemporary piece of art or an upbeat commercial dance performance. Whether it is to make the audience feel emotionally connected to the piece and reflect about the reality we are living in or to visually strike them and awe the audience with a stunning show. When creating, Emilie often draws inspiration from natural elements such as water, flow, rhythm and balance. Emilie`s choreographies blends grounded, organic movements with movements of intensity, power and contrast, creating work that is both visually striking and emotionally driven. She creates atmospheric work that respond closely to music, space and the performers involved. Her approach prioritises honesty, physical presence and storytelling, aiming to create performances that feel immersive, accessible and resonant. Emilie is passionate about developing and delivering work that exists in dialogue with its surroundings and audiences.
